About LISA-MARIE
Lisa-Marie Newton is a San Francisco-based actor/singer/voice actor/screenwriter/producer. After receiving degrees from Eastman School of Music and University of Arizona in classical vocal performance, she began acting onstage in Chicago at the age of 30. Lisa-Marie’s career didn’t really blossom until she moved west. During 10 years in San Francisco, she performed onstage in straight plays (Pinter’s Ashes to Ashes, The Love Song of J. Robert Oppenheimer, All My Sons) and in musicals (Hairspray, The Full Monty, A New Brain) and was nominated for Bay Area Theatre Critics’ Circle Awards for Bat Boy, The Musical (Foothill Music Theatre) and Next to Normal (Custom Made Theatre), winning a BATCC Award for best supporting actress in a musical for Assassins at Ray of Light Theatre.
She has also worked onstage in New York City (How I Learned to Drive, The Seagull, MacBeth) and Ashland, OR (Dancing at Lughnasa, The Glass Menagerie). She studied German Lieder in Baden bei Wien, Austria. And she has written and produced 2 solo shows with music: Songs of Midlife Madness (2022) and Befriending Shirley (2009, 2014).
On screen, Lisa-Marie has appeared in numerous short films, including The Attempt and the upcoming Lois In Blue, for which she is also screenwriter and producer. She starred in the indie feature Weekend King and had a supporting role in Roxie, in addition to her television work for Investigation Discovery Network on Restless Souls.
Commercially and in her Voiceover work, Lisa-Marie has represented Kaiser Permanente, Cisco, Toyota, Burger King, CertaPro Painters, and The Spot Satellite Phone.
